Just a suggestion but instead of Duct Tape use Gaffers Tape. You can buy it online or at most AV supply stores. The difference is that Gaffers Tape is designed to not leave residue when it is removed. Duct Tape isn't as nice about the surface when it is removed at the end of the trip.

BTW, I printed this off and added it to my camera bag so that I had a checklist before I leave on vacation. Thanks!

Ok following your checklist, I am about half way there. Now I’m curious. What are the ziplock baggies used for? The webcam enclosure I can see due to moisture. I can get zip ties at harbor freight for cheap as well as electrical tape and blue masking tape.

yep, if you are putting the cam outside (Which i would recommend against at Port Orleans) then you may want to cover it so rain does not ruin it

Yeah with no balconies at POR I am trying to figure out how to attach it to the window. Thinking if I want it up high or down low.

there are some cool suction cup mounts you could try. You may want to try and think of something that hangs a bit away from the window so it is not as obvious from the outside. Maybe hand from curtain rod?

May be a bit late now, but I'd go for as high as you can to avoid people's heads walking along the walkway. I use a cheap suction cup system that was intended for dashboard mounting of phones, but take the top off and it works really well for webcams in windows too (especially as my webcam has a pole mount anyway).
