Stayed here last OCT and absolutely loved it. We actually walked to Epcot a few days and took a relatively short boat ride to Hollywood Studios another day. As the kids get older this might end up being our base camp if you will ... Epcot will surely remain one of our favorites - Food & Wine are devine!

The downside with YC for us was that we had bad dining experiences in both the Yachtsman our first night there and our last night there wasnt much better at the Captains Grille - I think we ended up with waiters at both places that just didnt want to be there.

The pool looked great, but sadly it was the coldest we had ever experienced in Disney - a few days were in the 40s and a couple other days were rainy we all had to go out and buy jackets. Didnt spoil our fun though - after all we were in Disney!!!!

Here are a few thumbnail images from the trip - check out more in the photo gallery.

The best thing IMO - was the proximity to loads of action. 5-10min walk to EPCOT - BW - S & D - and a quick boat ride to HS.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad meal at Yachtsman. I've eaten there twice and had a great experience both times.

I've never stayed at YC, but I have stayed at BC and had a great time. SAB was a great hit with the kids. It's nice that my kids are a little older, I can actually relax at the pool while they go off and swim. Of course there's Beaches N Cream, we always make a point of stopping there at least once every trip.

We've been thinking about staying in this area for one of our next trips. My kids are older dd 13 and ds 17 and they loved the Boardwalk and epcot is our favorite parks so it is very convenient for us...
Love the Photo's!

I stayed at the Yacht Club in 2004. Loved our stay. Enjoyed the theming and especially loved the pool. One of the highlights of our stay at the Yacht Club was a sighting of Michael Chiklis in the hallway. I would love to stay there again...after I am done staying at the rest of the resorts I haven't been to yet. :)

My husband and I will be staying at the Yacht Club at the end of September. It will be our first time staying here so I am very happy to see the good reviews. We stayed at the Beach Club Jan 08 and had a blast - the location cannot be beat. I just loved being able to pop over to watch illuminations during the evening or walk over to Le Cellier for lunch. We walked to DHS as well as we really enjoy walking. Hubby wanted to give Yacht Club a try this time around and I already know the location is great. I just hope we enjoy the atmosphere as much as we did the Beach Club.

We own at BCV, so we stay at the YC/BC all the time. Linda didn't happen to be your Yachtsman server, did she? The most surly waitress I've ever had! She totally ruined our dining experience. If you go back to Yachtsman, ask for Oscar! He is an amazing, amazing server!

Beaches & Cream is our favorite!

We have stayed at the Yacht Club since it first opened. Our visit in 22 days will be number 19. Love the place and the cast members. We stay Concierge level and never want to leave. Sorry you had a bad experience at the Yachtsman. That is one of our favorit places to eat and John is the fellow that we always request for wait staff. Glad to be here.
