I just want to put this out there to save anyone else, who might have or get Vonage, from the issues I had. After we got Vonage, we couldn't get the chat to come up on EoE. It was just a white screen. We had done some other things with our sytem at the time so it took a while to figure out what the issue was. I rebooted, reloaded, updated & prety much did everything else I could think of to fix the issue. Then I started tracing it back to the modem & the router & finally figured out it had something to do with the Vonage router. Tinkcrafter called Vonage & after a while on the phone with them determined that we needed to route the Vonage router diferently.
So, if you have a Vonage router, DO NOT follow the directions that come with it. You need to plug the Vonage router into your router as if it was a computer. This fixes the problem and may work with other types of add-on VOIP type systems.
