TiggerPiglet 04-27-2011, 08:24 AM Since I haven't seen the cam on again, I have to assume the cable never dried out properly. I'm so sorry that happened. flounder1959 04-27-2011, 08:43 AM So sorry for you....thanks for the streaming you were able to do, sure appreciate the view! :icon_cool: Enjoy your time! Fizbain 04-27-2011, 09:06 AM It's always sad when good equipment goes bad. May we have a moment of silence for our departed cable.... pittsburgh_jim 04-27-2011, 07:48 PM Thanks for streaming Moose MooseTV 04-30-2011, 10:10 PM Home now and yes the extension cable was fried. Gues that will teach me I will have to wrap the connection in plastic wrap to keep the water out. Funny I've had that out in some pretty good storms but I guess when they power washed the sech they probably blew water right into the connector. :icon_headshake: Capttigger 04-30-2011, 10:40 PM Well it was great while it was up.... Sorry about the cable..... Mr Wizard 05-01-2011, 09:06 AM Darn shame about your equipment, sorry to hear that. If you ever run into that situation again I would suggest using a high grade electrical tape like Scotch 33+. It is super strechy and will conform to almost any shape to really seal things. I once had a radiator hose on my car split and it took about a whole roll but it closed it up and I was able to refill and get back home. And it usually doesn't leave behind any sticky residue when you remove it. But if that is a concern put the first layer on upsidedown and then add a few more wraps after that. The tighter you pull each wrap the better it seals. Thanx large for the views we did get. |
