I got a new camera for Christmas and was thinking of selling my old Olympus Evolt E-300 to a friend, the problem is I'm not sure what to sell it for. I was think around $250.00 for the camera, lense 14-45 mm, fish eye lense, battery charger, cords, manual, original box. It's in great shape, no scratches or dings. Do you think that is a fair price. I was trying to find comps on the in internet but couldn't find any places that sold used E300. When I saw my friend today and told him 250.00 for everything he kinda got a weird look on his face, do you think I'm being unreasonable in the price?

Keep an eye on E-Bay that normally gives you a good judge of what things are selling for and what people are willing to pay . Then slight adjustments can be made from there.
Right now the highest bid I can find for that is $127 with 11 hours remaining . Some around the $250+ range all have no bids on them but .
What I do is Watch all tha apply to what I thinking and then see if they end up selling and for what price.
Right now I'm looking for a UMPC and have several that I'm lookin at just to get an idea of what they are selling for.
Good Luck I try to not to sell to friends ,one for if something happens and two they tend to call for info all the time instead of lookingit up on their own for stuff I would have to look up for them.

The best UMPC IMO right now is the Lenovo. It's a full featured laptop with 80GB or 160GB hard drive and Windows XP, starting at $349. Below is the link.
Lenovo IdeaPad S10 (http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/na/LenovoPortal/en_US/special-offers.workflow:ShowPromo?LandingPage=/All/US/Landing_pages/Sales/s10349&ipromoID=hpa00388&)

I guess it all depends on how much you paid for it. How much you paid for the lens and so on. I agree with the ebay thing. Also - how old is the camera and how "out of date" is it? - Meaning - how many upgrades has that model been through? All of these factor into resale price.

I originally bought the camera for a sale price of 900.00, 3 years ago. I have keep it in great condition. The extra lense is a fish eye/macro I bought on ebay for 60$. I believe that Olympus is on Evolt e-510 Series. They know me and how I am with my camera, stored properly, no one used it but me, never taken to beaches or park etc. This is why I told myself last time I would never sell to friends anymore. AHHHHH. I don't want them to think just becuase we're friends I going to sell it to them for next to nothing.

I totally understand that. Good luck - sounds like you have a great camera and whoever buys it from you will getting something they can use for a long time.
